Kitesurfing
Watamu is by far Kenya’s best kitesurfing spot due to the perfect wind conditions. Watamu’s diamond white coastline is over 5 KM long and the water is a perfect clear turquoise, it’s a true kiters paradise. Watamu offers amazing flat waters as well as challenging waves for either beginners and experienced kitesurfers. The water and air temperature are very pleasant all year round. No wetsuit needed!

Wind
The best seasons for kitesurfing in Watamu are December to March ( Kaskhazi season) and June to September (Kuzi season). The wind is onshore coming from North-North East in Winter season average between 17 and 20 knots and in Summer season to will average between 20 and 25 knots.
Water
Watamu is the perfect kite spot because it offers amazing flat waters as well as challenging waves for either beginners and experienced kitesurfers.
The flat water in the low tide is perfect for beginners and if you prefer to kitesurf on waves, you can catch some surf behind the reef which is only 500 meters from the beach.
Kite repair
We have our own sewing machine and repair materials from Scheveningen, the Netherland, and Tom will repair your kite so that you can fly again!
